Tip for the Mom: Don’t worry about back sleep and misshapen skulls!

Parents always worry that putting the baby on their back can result in some children having slightly flattened or deformed heads from the constant pressure on the back of their heads. Might look a bit strange but will not harm your baby. Things the parents can do to decrease these bony changes: supervised” tummy time” when baby is awake, don’t let the baby stay in the car seat or in the house for long periods of time and try to alternate the baby’s head position every night (one night on the right one night on the left and so on…)
